I love this place! The first time I visited Casa Nosstra was during my first weeks in Grecia, Costa Rica. A couple of friends brought me here, and I enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and ambiance so much that I longed to return. After my wife, Tezzy, arrived in Costa Rica, I wanted to take her there, and after about a year, we shared an anniversary luncheon date there.
Now, after about six months, we’re going back. Today is a beautiful day to go out because the skies are clear before the rain begins, and maybe we’ll have no rain at all today, but don’t bet on it. Casa Nosstra is only about 20 minutes from where we live, so we have decided to grab an Uber to take us there. A couple of friends had invited us but had to cancel at the last moment due to a medical issue. I had planned on creating a blog post for the occasion, so here goes.
We arrived just as they were opening, and I believe we were their first customers of the day, so we could pick any spot in the place to sit. We decided on our favorite stools and table with a fantastic view of the green landscape setting. They have an extensive menu including fresh fish, chicken, pork and steaks and of course drinks of your choice. We started with a fantastic fish ceviche. Tezzy chose to have the grilled salmon with rice and a green salad, and I selected grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables as we both ordered Stella Artois beer. I hadn’t drunk a Stella since arriving from California.
The meal was delicious, and the service was superb, and I believe we’ll make it home before the rain begins. Today was a perfect day.
