Tezzy arrived late Sunday night, December 1, at Juan Santamaría Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica, by way of Panama, Paris, and Hong Kong. She had to take two flights that lasted more than 36 hours total, yet as she exited the airport with lots of baggage in tow, she looked refreshed and very happy to see me. I was waiting with a bouquet of freshly cut flowers in hand. I was thrilled to see her again—almost a year after our initial rendezvous in Manila, Philippines. We snapped a few pictures while waiting for the Holiday Inn Shuttle to pick us up and whisk us off to our hotel 10 minutes away.
So, I made the life-changing decision to relocate to beautiful Costa Rica and bring some joy, peace, and happiness back into my life by having Tezzy join me. Surprisingly, we married in a civil ceremony in San Jose the following day. But this story is not over. Instead, it’s just the beginning! So, follow our experiences and adventures here in beautiful Costa Rica. Pura Vida!
I wrote the two paragraphs mentioned above in one of my blog posts from December 2019. Now fast forward to July 30, 2022, where our story continues. Tezzy is a devout Catholic who wanted our marriage to have the church’s blessings for over two and a half years. So, we decided to have our nuptials on Saturday July 30, 2022, at Iglesia de San Isidro, Grecia. We planned for over seven or eight months and wanted the celebration to be perfect. So, we had a small gathering where we invited our dearest and closest friends and enjoyed great food, champagne, and dancing in the nearby Salon de Communal right behind the church. We want to thank Don Fernandez Catering Services and Yeimy Fotografia.
